Beginning of the Shift

May I share an idea with you?

This year there will be more progress, victory, and movement in seemingly pertinacious legislation than any year that came before it.

All I gotta to do is quit smoking.

The paradigm shift - 2012 Mayan calendar event - marked the beginning of the change in the global consciousness towards more compassion, piousness and gratitude. While, for some, the past year promised a looming destruction coinciding with the Winter Solstice  - you may have had a 'destruction' of a different kind happening all year long. Fancy yourself a Phoenix for the rest of this blog, there can be no Spring without the Winter.

Has your life in this past year gone through an exceptional amount of changes? Have you grown away from, separated or left all the people in your life who seemed to no longer contribute to your serenity? (They have however, served you famously and vise versa, but that is another matter completely!) Do you find yourself in a fantastically inverse situation in life than where you were last year this time? I dont know what any of this means by the way, only that it has happened to so many close to me...

In this realm of the physical, which I personally am most accustomed, we collectively will begin to align our perception differently; to the other side of the line of demarcation separating love and fear. In this shift we will move closer to the divine and to one another, celebrating beautiful changes in our personal lives as well as the lives of the other, every where in the world!

All you 'have' to do is _________...?

One way in which I have been able to compartmentalize this understanding (Aside from constantly asking questions and seeking guidance!) is to concentrate on a single point of self discipline. To claim the Spiritual strength needed to save the world (What other option is there?) I must be the most effective vehicle for service.

To fancy myself a Phoenix, to see myself as beautiful, to end the cycle of judgement, fear, unhealthy habits and grow closer to god... I have to prove to my fear I am up to the challenge of participating in my own growth so assisted by the universe in this last year. My growth, as in Lao Tzu's 'first step', is the journey on the path to global spiritual and social revolution.

As you are me and I am you - my growth is yours and yours is mine. As you and I are the expression of this universe  - our effort for self improvement through any daily discipline shapes the world in a new, inwardly focused way. Soon after, daily meditation, yoga and prayer will come to follow...and then... POOF!

No more Drones, no more Fracking, no more Factory Farms or Female Genital Mutilation
Lets begin with that first step. What will your daily discipline be?

A friend of mine Vic once told me: "Maybe there is more than one truth."
