Pie #?

Hey Brother - Just a continuation of my response to the last part of your 7/5 letter and whatever going on in my head today. Sending love and light your way!

I have been super lucky in the book department lately. Since the farm Ive been reading The Market Gardener by Jean-Martin Fortier & I'm skimming through Practical Permaculture by Jessi Bloom & Dave Boehnlein. I literally have never found a 'technical' or 'instructional' book tolerable in my ENTIRE life but Jean-Martins book reads so well and Practical Permaculture keeps my attention.
Aside from those I've been amassing books by Sri Mooji, Sri Ramana Maharshi, & Sri Papaji & continue building my Alan Watts collection. Do you enjoy science fiction in particular? My favorite short story book is Black Coffee Blues by Henry Rollins.

I love the farm, & hope / planning to return the same time next year. Actually I just had a conversation with my mother about my plans to return here every six months for the next few years. The farm duties vary day to day but can be described generally as: labor - as were preparing the land for the upcoming sewing & harvest. For example, today I aerated the soil in the greenhouse and fertilized the same area for seeds going in next week. Yesterday I put up trellises (for plants that vine) and helped putting down irrigation. My boss is cool, might as well be a house mate if you know what I mean. The same with the other permanent employees - this place is basically a plot of land owned by a well meaning couple and run by art students turned farmers.

Scandalous activities? lol not really - this place is kinda like an oasis. There's only 5 people who live here permanently, most of which I seldom see, a couple cats, dogs and farm animals but no drama. Well, on my first week I got really shit faced and forgot where the farm was - woke up in one of the local really rich folks horse stables I broke into for whatever reason and had to make my way back being late for work lol. Nobody knows about that, Ill tell them as an anecdote before i leave :-)

Oh yeah, my birthdays Christmas. Between you and me I'll tell you my real / government birth year which is 1981. But in this new climate of "Identity" I've been identifying as a different ages for quite some time now. For work or social situations I round up by 5 every; 5 years. So today I identify as 40 and tell people I was born in whatever year that corresponds. So when I'm actually 40, 41, 42 years old I'll tell folks I'm 45. And so on & so on. If its romantic or a close friendship I identify as 4 and 1/2 - that was about the time I got my trip at Sterling.

Are you hip to whats going on with that recently? You can Identify as anything if you want nowadays, Its AWESOME! I am known only as Humble Pie except for 560 and my mothers house, at my last suit and tie gig I changed my sex and race to 'Pie.' lol :-)

Anywho - I gotta run an errand with my boss Seth in a little so I'm gonna hop off - but I don't have work tomorrow so I'll likely be up later tonight writing. Have a blessed evening until later. love love LOVE!
