Mike :-)
I can only sympathize with you brother.
I have heard such tales of the shitty nature of Florida prisons bro. No lie, when I told my mother I was moving to Miami, her whole mood changed. I was so darn confused! Going from an abandoned car and $20 a day to directors chair and $50 G's a year I thought shed be ecstatic. We later had a conversation where she pretty much said: "Florida is nothing but trouble. Its set up for you to get into trouble and when you do get into trouble the system is alot less accommodating than NY and NJ."
I can imagine about the nature of despondency. I dont know that this'll be of any comfort but I stop myself as often as I can and count my blessings as of late. A few of my homies, one I told you about recently - Rasheen, have been taken up to the heavens or away to lockup. Its so important not to take the little (or any) thing(s) for granted!
I couldn't even begin to understand how hard its been for you since your sister passed. I believe most rational people would have lost some will to go on after such a heartbreak. I'm glad to know your gratitude for life is back, I've been struggling with the idea of living FOR my lost loved ones and I hope that notion can bring you a grain of solace.
I was locked up when I was younger. With a penchant for insane outbursts - my past time was fighting with cops in my old suburb of Montclair, NJ. I've mostly done county time, so absolutely not the same type of bid but I kept getting locked up over the span of 8 or so years. All together I've got 5 -6 years locked up. A two year stretch between county and ann klein, a couple 365's in Passaic and Essex counties and one last year in a state run rehab in Paterson. All aggravated assaults + possession of this or that. When everyone met me in Hudson Bay was after I pledged to get my shit together. I did my first cross-trains from a 3/4 house when I started canvassing and I was still on paper :-) If I said it once I'll say it again: One of the best times in my life... in retrospect of course!
Sorry the Facebook password doesn't work...

I'm so glad you have your family standing by you! My mom was the only person to write or visit me (outside the 1 or two letters from my ex during the first months of my time in) in all the little time I did inside. Of all the blessings to have its wonderful you still have people that support you - AND WE ALL DO! :-)
